1. How many
people can take part in a nautical treasure hunt?
We can run treasure hunts for a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 40
/ 50 people.
2. How do you organise a treasure
hunt?
Those taking part are divided into teams of 5 or 6 and they take to
the river in an electric boat with a skipper to find clues along the
riverbank and complete a general knowledge questionnaire. There is
usually a chance to disembark at a Lock and search for clues.
3. Do you supply refreshments and
drinks on the boats?
Certainly we are very happy to provide refreshments and drinks in
the boats or you are welcome to bring your own.
4. Do we have to wear buoyancy life-jackets?
No, not on a treasure hunt but if anybody wishes to do so just let
us know in advance.
5. How long do these treasure hunts
last?
A treasure hunt lasts about 2 hours but this can be longer or shorter
depending on the structure of the day.
6. Can we stop somewhere for lunch
/ tea / barbecue?
There are some great places to stop for lunch / tea or a barbecue
or it is quite possible to start and one location and finish at another.
7. What is the most appropriate dress?
Casual dress and sensible shoes are the order of the day.
8. Do you supply the treasure?
Yes, in abundance.
